Bloody Disgusting!

I was walking through the web one fine day (today) and I came across this website:

Tweeze Me!

Check it out and let me know what you think!

Hehe....I'm Blogging!

So this is a bit of an update to my already declining blog. I hope to blog more in the future, but I always say that, so it's kinda redundant.

So, with me, I have been through quite a bit. Last April or June I collapsed on my front porch after coming home from work and ended up spending most of the night in the hospital. Apparently, I have high blood pressure and diabetes. on top of being sick that day, some sort of freak chain reaction caused me to collapse.

I had driven home and parked my truck. After what seemed an eternity, I finally managed to get the door open and almost fell out of the truck. I started stumbling up the walkway and made it to the steps. Again, a second eternity passed in this time frame. I started climbing the steps and then everything went dark. I remember bits of what happened next because apparently I was fading in and out.

I remember a truck stopping in the middle of the street and a guy asking if I was ok. I remember yelling that I was, even though I found out later that I may not have spoken at all. I also remember Brandy trying to help me to my feet, and the truck guy as well, trying to get me in the house. Apparently, she saw me go down, and rushed over to help. Honorable mention goes to her grandmother, who lives across the street from me, who rushed over as well, falling and scraping her knee.

I remember someone saying I was burning up and bringing me water. I then remember the EMT's getting there and I vaguely remember an exchange of words as Brandy, her grandmother, and the EMT's tried to talk me into going with them. I ended up going.

We get to the hospital and they say my heart rate is through the roof, and that my blood sugars are severely high. That and I was sick too. I ended up staying in a room for quite awhile and they gave me some steroids and morphine, as well as something for my sickness. They wanted to wait till my heart rate dropped before letting me go home, which I suppose is understandable.

On a followup to my doctor, he prescribes me some medicines to control both blood pressure and diabetes, and asks me to start exercising and trying to lose weight.

I went through the longest period of time in denial about the diabetes. Now, I take it serious a little more and am trying to change the way I do things.

I have joined Weight Watchers with Brandy, which will be discussed in other posts, and am trying to eat healthier.

I am still alive, and will remain to be if I have any form of control at all.

By the way, hi to all my reader (lol...that is meant to be singular).

I hope you are all doing well, and please feel free as always to comment.
