It's A Train Wreck

What the hell is up with train wrecks in Kentucky?

Here it is now we've had not 1, not 2, but 3 train wrecks this week in this state!

The first was on Monday when runaway railcars struck two parked locomotives in eastern Kentucky, the second was on Tuesday when a train derailed and caught fire, causing evacuation of quite a bit of places near where I work, and the third was on Wednesday, when a train collided with a truck crossing the tracks, killing the 2 passengers and causing the truck to burst into flames.

I just can't understand some of this. I guess I'm not supposed to.

With that said, if you ever come to Kentucky for a visit, stay away from the tracks!

It's kinda freaky...especially all the fire and chemicals in the one on tuesday.

You know I stay away from the tracks....that video I saw in grade school stuck with me.

BG,
that is scary....not sure how much i believe in psychics but I'd keep him away just in case....can never be too careful.

Train wrecks can be awful.
I used to live near a train track in college, I've seen a few.

I saw on the news last night two moms took their kids to Fla for dance recital stuff for school and they were hit as they walked across a parking lot. It was a hit and run driver, one of the mom's lost het leg. They caught the guy a day later and he says he didn't stop cause he couldn't speak English. How fucked up is that?

Bri & I love trains. There's not much of it around our area, though. I'm hoping to take a train excursion across country some day. It will be romantic and relaxing.

It has been a tragic week for trains in KY. Hope the trend ends today.

How's your smile feeling? D :)

barngoddess - very scary. I don't know if I believe in all that, but you know....just in case....

redneckgirl - the one on tuesday was kinda scary...and I had to go into work toward the thing....lol.

I was always one to play on the tracks and jump onto the trains as they were passing...but I was a dumb kid too....lmao!

rebecca - yeah, train wrecks are bad. That is very messed up. I wonder if he thought he would be mistreated or something right away because of that. Sometimes people just don't make sense.

felinefrisky - I'm not really fascinated much with them anymore, but they can be nice sometimes. I too hope the streak has ended. I'm tired of reading about the wrecks myself...lol.

The smile still hurts, but only from the remainder of the bad teeth. I'll be going back sometime in Feb. to do more work. However, it does hurt a lot less than it ever has before, so it's a step in the right direction :)
