We're Engaged!

Well, I have finally asked Brandy to marry me, as I had said in a previous post. I wanted to post the story here so everyone would know :)

It was the end of May when it happened. We drove to Juno Beach Florida, and she had no idea of what was going to happen. We get there on Thursday, May 28th, and since I had never been to Florida before, the first thing I wanted to see was the beach.

We go down to the beach for about 30 minutes before we do just about anything there, and got some pretty good pics. This is the only time I had my camera at the beach, because every other time it was dark, or I was in the water.

Now, my original plan was to ask her on Saturday night, on the beach, at sunset. However, we get to the hotel room and I'm watching the weather forecast, and it calls for rain the whole weekend. I decide that I can't risk waiting until Saturday to do it, so I try to make a backup plan.

Brandy, her sister, and I decide to get some food, so we go to eat and afterwards, Brandy and I went back down to the beach. It was past sunset when we got there, and the beach was dark, but definitely still romantic and beautiful. We stood there looking at the black waters of the ocean, listening to the sound of the ocean, and enjoying the breeze. She pulled me closer and told me that this was so perfect. I said that it wasn't and she asked me why. I told her that it wasn't perfect because I had not asked her to marry me yet. Then I pulled out the ring and showed it to her.

Even in the limited light on the beach, I could see the sparkle and the tears welling up in her eyes. She asked if she was dreaming, and then said yes! I slid the ring on her finger and pulled her close to me and kissed her. She spent the rest of the night, and a lot of the rest of the trip in disbelief. She definitely didn't expect it to happen.

One of the cutest things ever is when I catch her checking it out, kinda looking to her side and just looking at the sparkle of the ring.

I'll definitely keep you all posted on developments on the wedding as they occur. I hope you enjoyed this post as well.
